My daughter started remote High School and spends all day in front of the computer. Back to back lessons with 5min breaks in between. No social interaction other than family all day. I can see her soul shrivel up in front of my eyes. My heart hurts.

What I mean was that it was obvious how much they'd been deprived of when we saw how they sprang back to life when they had in-person school again.

I think there's at least a few other reasons why school exists than knowledge transfer. I'd rank it like this: 1. Socialisation 2. Socialisation 3. Socialisation 4. Get some "knowledge" smth while you're at it
