What other startups could you compare this to? Where the idea seemed strange, but the founders seemed to be determined?
Dropbox on the face of it seemed like a bad idea, for the same reason Google did: there were already many such things. And they won for the same reason Google did: they executed so much better that the result was qualitatively different.

I don't understand why any of these seemed like bad ideas. Hard to execute maybe, but basically these were attacking cartels or problems no one was solving.
