It'll be interesting/ worrying to see if deaths rise proportionally with that. So far they don't seem to have grown at the same speed as during the first wave. Small glimmer of hope there

Is it not hospital admissions which we should look at?
-
Hospital admissions are a very lagging metric. If you optimize for that you'll overshoot and keep playing catch up. Cases are imperfect but at least the earliest metric we can try to control.

Wow. Cyprus has 125 cases per 100,000 over the entire course of covid, rather than per week. Positive test rate under 1/10th of a percent.

This is great data, but would be even better if they added the % of tests returning positive, and a hint to the amount of tests.

Latest data on testing (per region and overall) and positivity rate from 31 August to 6 Sept. Positivity rate has been growing for weeks.pic.twitter.com/zXRwkPKw1c
