You seem to have ellipsed the lesson itself: how much a kid’s personality is inborn. That’s the insight driving the approach.

Reversion to the mean post Covid-19 is being under estimated. New habits have formed, but many old ones will quickly reassert themselves e.g. as soon as the UK lockdown was lifted many people quickly jumped in the car and drove to their favorite fast food joint for a fix.
