The proportion of 13-14 year olds who described themselves as feeling anxious fell from 40% to 32% when the coronavirus prevented them from going to school.https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-53884401 …

And a large proportion of teenage girls who were identifying as male and were supposed to transition decided that they were girls after all.

Anecdotally, I'd suggest that figure would be reversed among pupils who didn't take GCSE and A levels and had to wait for results to be assigned this year.

I can bet on some similar stats for India too. Not only anxiety, so much more convenience. A lot of people who couldn't have afforded to learn for logistical reasons are learning from the best teachers now.

So fascinating seeing -- if there is -- a divergence between adaptation to quarantine between teens, young adults, and middle aged adults. Interesting as schools are melting pots for students + group think and all the good (friendships) and bad (bullying) that comes from them.

People truly dont realize how much bullying impacts kids, especially bullying in this time due to a ton of it being anonymous with more people seeing it because its most likely on social media

It's not just bullying. It's the collective desire for approval and fear of disapproval of one's peers; this will be true if you expel every last bully.

So true, I always thought that what we were doing earlier was not anyways near to sustainable for parents and kids.
