The value of college just keeps diminishing. If one’s desired profession doesn’t legally require it, might just be better to skip college entirely.

Oh, now. Just for the math, science, computer programming, and networking opportunities alone it seems like it's a good value proposition. Assuming you aren't going in heavy debt. Community college is out there.

Classrooms can't be misused by any faculty member to peddle political agenda. They just need to discuss subject matter.

Some subjects require inquiry, discussion, and exploration of difficult subject matter. Statistics, philosophy, sociology, game theory, psychology. All of these involve people and populations, and it’s increasingly easy to upset someone when discussing populations.
