The reason Boom will be able to fly passengers supersonically for the price of current business class is that the flight times are so short that you don't need lie-flat seats. There's a lot of advanced tech in this plane, but that mundane fact is the key to the economics.

Very disappointing that the article barely even touches on robustness I think we will find that supersonic aircraft will be cost-inefficient or even unsafe with respect to maintenance, if widespread commercial flight is the vision.

If Boom is successful, would it result in higher prices for economy flights? Currently (pre-covid) business-class passengers subsidise economy-class, but that subsidy will be gone.
