The tell-tale sign you probably need fire yourself as an engineer from the team is when you think work starts at 6 PM—the time you can finally start programming after a full day.
Apparently in my case that’s become 9 PM

No. I wasn't sleeping longer than other people, just at a different time. I'd been on that schedule since college.

i built a successful company this way too - (work from 11:30am -7:30ish) but when wife & kids entered the picture i’ve swung the other way. (5:30a - 3:30pm) Now nothing is more important than family dinner at 5pm every evening.
