The tell-tale sign you probably need fire yourself as an engineer from the team is when you think work starts at 6 PM—the time you can finally start programming after a full day.
Apparently in my case that’s become 9 PM

What did you do from noon to dinner?
All the work that wasn't programming. I'd write code if I had any free time during that window, but minor stuff that could be interrupted.
