This isn't said enough. Yes, the wealthiest people are uber rich compared to even other wealthy people. But they're still just a drop in the bucket compared to the world's total wealth. They're powerful but hardly omnipotent.

Right. The way to understand it, though, is longitudinally (along time, maybe using ergodicity) and then to see if there is an upper bound (but wealth seems to follow a power law)
