Why do you treat “startups cause billionaires” as if it’s a natural law and not a contingency? Why couldn't we imagine an economy that facilitates startups without allowing huge wage disparity?
The situation is about as close to natural law as you get in economics. You can grow a company at a certain rate, you need to sell or give away a certain percent of it in the process, the remaining stock times a market price to earnings ratio > a billion dollars.
