Advice for authors: Don't be afraid to write a book about a narrow topic, and don't be afraid to expand the scope of the book as you're writing it.

So true, I find that I connect to a book that focuses on one topic but takes a stab at that topic every which way possible more, than a book that focuses on a a bunch of topics through single lens.
