New Lambda School homepage is nice: https://lambdaschool.com/  I've always been baffled by the ISA controversy given the repayment amount is *capped* at $30,000. "We give you a $30,000 loan with flexible repayment terms and frequently just end up forgiving it" sure sounds nice.

I've never understood why, but Lambda School has some of the most obsessive haters I've seen. The "ISA controversy" seems to be largely their creation.

Calling things "controversial" is a common way to suggest they are arguably bad without accepting the burden of the argument.

The only criticism I’d buy into is that ISAs might cover longer periods of time, if they become popular, or that only promising students can get them. Otherwise I agree it seems extreme.

Perhaps because Lambda School forces them to question the identity they have vested in a traditional university degree?

That can be viewed as a good sign. Haters are a sign that the company is doing something valuable. Some get mad about it because it doesn't fit their point of view

People have opinions , but hate something that does not do any bad to you it's not okay. You are probably used with hate, but even if Lambda school is helping 1 person from 10 is still better than nothing. Keep going! There is a saying in my country: bear walks, dogs bark.

Can education tourism be a possible innovation in edtech space similar to work tourism? https://twitter.com/andreasklinger/status/1287911364313280512?s=19 … Colleges can invite students to their campuses for 6 months programs to have a great peer group while doing online courses like Coursera + few classroom sessions.
