I think USA executions are done shortly after midnight so that in case there is a legal reason to stop it, the lawyers have 24 hours to follow through on it.

There is no good time to schedule an execution, yet they must be, if they are to get done, unfortunately.

I'm not saying it has to get done, but better that they occur so infrequently that they need to be arranged (scheduled), but that also allows time for an appeal (and persuasion) against them

I’m anti death penalty but you make it seem like there was no due process & it’s impt not to make misleading comments. The execution was at 8:07 am and was the 1st federal execution in 17 yrs. Man convicted of murdering a fam. Theres no ongoing mid-night scheduling of executions
