Or more precisely, when the number of clicks their articles get depends on them not understanding it.
It's one of those weird situations where making less effort makes things work out better for you, like Microsoft making their OSes reliable enough for other SW cos to write apps on, or people writing critical theory papers so that it's clear what they're saying.
