I've noticed a lot of people saying that 100% of the value of going to an elite college is the brand. This isn't true. But the reason this number is so hard to get a fix on is that it varies enormously between students.

What is the difference in absolutely education (academics) between an ivy league school and a state school?

I would say it's the quality of instruction, the interaction with world class professors, the fellow students, the town itself, the school and the brand (no particular order)
