She’s talking about your capacity, not Steven’s. Your affinity towards the older tech writers (who just happen to be mostly white & male) and disdain for the younger ones (who just happen to be more diverse across the board) can’t be a mere coincidence. Implicit bias is a thing.

I don’t think this is necessarily a racism thing, but it’s definitely a “you’re threatening my comfortable perch atop humanity, but I’m going to pretend my objections are independent of self interest” thing.
