A commonality among the accounts on this platform that I value the most is that one can’t determine the author’s political orientation by reading their Tweets. This is because they think about each individual issue from first principles and refuse to capitulate to social proof.

That second part is key. Those first principles *are* a political orientation. No value in neutrality. Little value in case-by-case specifics. Lots of value in consistently applying a consistent set of principles.
