The biggest surprise of this pandemic, within the US, is the amount of arguing, both about the pandemic itself and about other topics. If I'd tried to imagine a pandemic beforehand, I'd have imagined everyone becoming really serious and focused. Maybe in Switzerland...

Has anybody yet calculated the average number of Quality-Adusted Life Years lost per coronavirus death? That strikes me as a very important number for putting the death toll in perspective, but nobody else seems interested in finding it out.
