I've noticed in myself that my eccentricity and ability to say what I think grows with my personal wealth. It's a terrible realization that you limit your own thoughts and speech on your livelihood, and that its weaponized against you.
The eccentricity part is not necessarily good. I've seen a few SV people head down the Howard Hughes vector.
