Is it because the really helpful things are rather rare and what is taught will have to apply to a comparatively large audience? So if you want to learn interesting stuff there will be no teachers to teach it?
I'm honestly not sure. One factor is definitely that new things are more likely to be valuable, and yet less likely to have classes about them. But I think there are other factors too.
I think it’s because you most deeply care about them in a very personal way. If you care about a problem deeply and peesonally, you find that all the advice out there is low-dimensional as it’s supposed to appeal to many.
Agree. And the personal exploration almost always leads to a unique opportunity to build something powerful.
