If you think cancelling Ulysses S. Grant is “overreach,” you have not yet understood the dynamics of revolution, cultural or otherwise.
Just because a few fools pulled down his statue doesn't mean he's cancelled. It takes more than that. Cancelled is if the statue doesn't get put back.

I took a class in college called “Europe and the World” at MSU. The entirety of the class had to do with French immigration to Algeria, and harm imperialism has done to the world. Not only are things getting cancelled, but they get changed in subtle ways that seem unnoticeable
