You can keep any number of mutually contradictory beliefs in your head at once, so long as you don't examine them.

It's interesting. It means one can't "scale up" contradictions from n to n+1. It also means the consistency of your existing beliefs in harmony can suddenly come into question with an introduction of a new belief one day, which seems plausible. Thanks for the answer.

Assuming this is correct, it provides a good way to reduce apparent contradictions down to the minimum set to find resolution. Trying to resolve a larger set of ideas that cause the contradiction to exist would likely be harder to resolve. Like checkers v. Chinese checkers.
