Preparing kids to become startup founders by having them do pitch contests is like preparing kids to become pilots by having them run around the room with their arms stuck out, making whooshing noises.

@CameronHerold gives about not reading a bedtime story to your kids every night. Instead, only read a few nights. The other nights, give them some objects and have them tell you a story about them. I always thought this was golden.
That sounds nice, but I don't get to decide these things. I get told what to read, or what I have to make up a story about.
