Son (15) and I want to learn #lisp this summer. What is the best hands-on & Linux friendly path these days? @paulg Would love to find something like the epic #golang Tour https://tour.golang.org/welcome/1

A 15yo that learns racket will quickly learn to hate lisp, I think. There are good ideas in racket, but it takes many years to see them. I spent about five years hating racket before I grew to like it. And even then, only the libraries. Syntax objects can go burn in bit-hell.

You could audit the first several modules of this series of short courses that teach Systematic Program Design using Racket. Not only do you learn a lisp language, but you learn a solid approach to solving problems that applies to programming in general. Very beginner friendly.
