@paulg what are you trying to teach your kids that you wish you'd been taught?
I wrote an essay about that: http://paulgraham.com/hs.html But more generally I try to teach them almost everything I know, even if it's stuff one would usually learn at an older age.

This part "Curiosity turns work into play. For Einstein, relativity wasn't a book full of hard stuff he had to learn for an exam. It was a mystery he was trying to solve." is why I hated math in school, only to spend countless hours reading books on physics as an adult.
