if you're the type of person who should have been a startup founder in 2005, what should you be doing in 2020? consulting? institutional work? political activism?

Why would it be different? On a historical time scale, things haven't changed that much since 2005.

i guess my view of both startups and America have changed; which probably just means that i’ve changed, and the fundamentals are still there in 2020, though, i feel like it would be hard to focus on making a profit when it feels like the country is coming apart at the seams
