Here’s a question I’ve been pondering. Were we better off with less options and more village like mentality? We were once also not so dispersed and most of the news you cared about was local. Now we know what goes on everywhere regardless of importance or severity.

Writing something about this issue now - we need an independent media - not driving by profits or eyeballs - but truth and data with no political lense or bias. Funded by Giving Pledge donors - who have no say in editorial content - with a revolving editorial board. Thoughts?

People didn’t know any more then, but had more mutually shared value frameworks to understand more constrained information. Deconstructionist ideologies that undergird a lot of current social theory scatter our sense making thru social media’s firehose of constant information.
