Many people I know who plan to travel this summer plan to stay in Airbnbs rather than hotels, to make social distancing easier. I never imagined this would be one of the benefits of Airbnb, but having more options makes the world more robust in the face of unexpected events.
It's not just good for travelers, but also for cities, who will at least see some tourist revenue this summer. Not as much as usual, but more than they'd get if they only had hotels.
