      If your hypothesis is that men are motivated more by money than credentials (e.g. would rather become a plumber than get a degree in anthropology), how well is that borne out by the data?

          That men are an avg more motivated by money is definitely borne out by the data within college students with regard to major at least, e.g., men majoring in more lucrative areas than women.
