When I mention a startup idea publicly, I usually try to downplay its potential. I only want to convince the people who were almost convinced already, because those are the right people to do it.

Africa is filled with untapped opportunities, and it is really lacking dedicated investors. But I don't know why many are not looking here. We lack good government, competition is low, low cost of production and blessed with untapped resources. So, why are all these been wasted?
Startup investing is a specialized business. It's hard for ordinary investors to adjust to the risk/return ratio. So it takes a while to grow a local investor community anywhere. But YC funds lots of African startups.

I tried to create a platform to bridge the gap between startups and investors in Africa, but as you stated it is a tough one. But I haven't yet given up hope. All I am after is to build trust between them. Thanks so much for your generosity.
