When someone tells you not to read something, that’s a pretty good indicator that you should.

If we're not subtweeting, why are cheering on each other knocking down the imaginary person who tells people not to read things?
Talking in general terms isn't subtweeting. People had been doing it for a number of years before Twitter was even founded.

To me today, it looks like another incident in a pattern of vapid pile-ons of imaginary foes by the same people I trusted for years to avoid pile-ons and provide signal, not noise. Virtue signalling without an out-group.
