The biggest danger to the left is friendly fire. Imagine if we just stopped attacking one another for a few months and turned that energy on Trump instead. Because he is laughing his ass off at this kind of thing.https://nymag.com/intelligencer/2020/06/case-for-liberalism-tom-cotton-new-york-times-james-bennet.html …

Sometimes I feel like there are certain radicals who would like nothing more than Biden to lose to prove they were right all along

Horrifying thought. A Trumped-earth policy. But I bet you are right, for the nutjobs in the leftmost few percent.

The radical left is more than a few percent, I’m pegging it at 8-10% of US population. They will take over from the classical liberals like me, the left of center and the sane progressives. We are already seeing it

Yes, this is true. But with the media, academe, lots of big tech companies etc behind and supporting these radical leftist ideas, it is easy to pinpoint. This is what happened in Iran and all over when 8-10% of the most fervent militant people took over.

The media is a big culprit here. They love to headline extreme ideas to generate emotion and controversy (and clicks!)

I believe Hillary Clinton would not have lost in 2016 if it wasn’t for the NYT’s desperation to make it a close race by overdramatizing the Comey curveball

Occam's razor says it was what has decided every presidential election since 1968.

And everyday Americans, of all races, I can't imagine are happy about businesses being destroyed and in the case of white Americans, the media saying they are racists with white privilege. Biden has probably already lost PA and Ohio, two key battle ground states.

So, how big is the “progressive activist” faction? 8% of the American population. However, it has a disproportionate influence: its proponents are far more likely to earn over $100k than the average citizen and its also one of the “whitest” political factions in the country. pic.twitter.com/E6Wl5J1VKO
