You’ll never change someone’s mind by telling them that they aren’t allowed to think that way.
No one smart, but I think there are a lot of people this does work on, if enough people do it to them over a sufficiently long period of time.

at cambridge uni (uk), disagreement basically marks you out as a bad person.people cannot speak their minds->only one side is heard,which is then assumed to be correct. i discovered this after receiving a reasonable amt of hate for pointing out labour party's antisemitism problem

Has nothing to with intelligence. In fact smart people can be easier to bully. It’s about courage.

Not courage precisely, but independent-mindedness. But you have to be independent-minded to do great work. So if you measure smart by results, rather than e.g. standardized tests, it includes independent-mindedness.
