There are publishers that specialise in Nazi books, and others that specialise in Marxist books. Generally, they are not good people.
I can well believe it would be a problem if you only published a particular kind of banned book. But if you had everything from Galileo to the latest cancelled children's book author it would feel a lot different.

What do you have in mind when you say "publisher"? It's important, because it defines whether mobs can cancel the publisher. Someone uploading pdfs to an s3 bucket is arguably a publisher, but not an impactful one.

From a business perspective, publishing = promoting. And branching across many areas probably undermines their niche brands. That’s why the niche publishers of dangerous ideas are unsavory. Could a marketplace exist for alt/cancelled ideas? Dunno.
