Trumpism is not separable from racism and fascistic authoritarianism. It was always so. What is new is that the realization of this is widespread. Trump removed the shame of bigots to gain popularity. But the visible lack of shame is sticky, and difficult to hide from history.
Did you know those beetles she referred to were called the “Colorado bug”? They have black and white stripes that sort of resemble the the flag. The bugs are still alive and well and do significant damage to the potato crop.
