It’s kinda crazy it can take 10 years of research to make the final conceptual breakthrough. You have to put in the time & work, and go really deep.

Maybe this is just semantics, but I wouldn’t say it necessarily has 2b love. I’ve been working on my PhD for 14 years (that duration is partly due to health issues) and I’m still very devoted 2 it, coz, in my eyes, the problem is very important. But I wouldnt say I love the topic

Don't you think that money is overrated? I mean - people that focus on pure scientific research or try to solve social problems are often called out as naive because they don't focus on money. Money IS important but society needs more than money to work.
