An example to illustrate how hard it would be for forums to implement fact-checking: Is there an exemption for religious beliefs? And if so, how do you define a religion? Is young Earth creationism banned?

Maybe address the elephant in the room and say that fact checking will only take place for things and events from the last 200 years onwards. That will probably cover 99% of religious beliefs.
Reminds me of Gibbon's wry remark about the difficulty of "defining with precision the limits of that happy period, exempt from error and from deceit, to which we might be disposed to extend the gift of supernatural powers."
