Particularly since such statements are usually made by people who've donated 0% of their net worth.

I don’t agree with this, respectfully. The concept of the declining marginal utility of a dollar explains why a poor person who donates 0% can fairly criticize a billionaire who donates 0.2%

In fairness, an asymmetry is unrepresented in your protest. I won't defend that such people always understand the complexity of large donations, but turning percents back on them omits critical truth. Learning to be had all around.
