So the end result of online mobs will not be to suppress the ideas they want to suppress, but merely to weaken the organizations (e.g. publishers, universities, broadcast networks) that previously depended on people who had such ideas.

Many brands/media outlets have adopted manufactured "woke" controversy as a marketing tactic. I wouldn't have known about the upcoming Little Mermaid movie if Disney hadn't sparked that drama by casting a black actress to play Ariel (I personally feel pretty indifferent about it)
The original dream of the Internet all over again. Weird how we never anticipated it would be such a serious problem for science and medicine, that the majority of these voices would be presenting persuasive and dangerous lies to undermine them.

I now watch these sorts of YouTube interviews in the evenings instead of movies. I wonder when Netflix will start buying/producing this kind of content (unless it already exists?)
