I have taken to replying “processing” and snoozing the email to the weekend as a way to combat this phenomenon.

Do you carve out time specifically for these types of emails? I always have that same intention, but then kids, family, and exhaustion hit and now I just have an ever growing pile of thoughtful emails I need to reply to!

Replying to say you will reply when you have time helps take the pressure off and maybe makes you more likely to reply as there isn’t the increasing pressure to send the perfect reply that grows with time.
