Because YC has faced this situation for so long, on account of the large numbers of startups it funds, it's not an issue. Partners don't leak one startup's info to another. You're in more danger by merely sending a deck to a typical investor. There, leaks are the default.

That's logically equivalent to saying that YC funds multiple companies working on the same idea. If you fund two companies working on x, one of them is going to be funded before the other, unless they happen to be in the same batch.
