NYC is where you go to get rich playing zero-sum games, and SV is where you go to get rich playing positive-sum ones.

This might be partially true, but it seems to paint a much rosier picture of SV than reality. SV has plenty of cutthroat competition at all levels, where people certainly don't view it as a positive-sum game.
