It was a crazy idea, but they wouldn't have discovered Twitch if they hadn't done it. This showed us that "build something you yourself want" works even when what you want is to walk around with a camera on your head 24/7.

All successful stories have one thing in common Get feedback and adapt accordingly Usually the initial USP was not exactly what users wanted but something else hidden underneath it Justin TV turned into Twitch Airbnb no longer about airbeds Facebook not longer just for college

Airbnb and FB weren’t based on feedback as much as necessity. Maybe the same for Justin TV as well. They all had a plan and didn’t have to wait for someone else to tell them in order to keep pushing forward.

I remember thinking "what a crazy dude". But it was intriguing, and it's amazing that this silly idea has turned into Twitch. There is an important lesson in there: Try things. Experiment. You never know where it might lead.

I always say that Justin’s JustinTV was the framework for modern reality TV and the future of reality experiences.

To me that remains one of the most intimidating examples of full commitment to a startup that I’ve ever seen.
@justinkan blew me away. -
Quite an inspirational dude(
@justinkan)! I heard him talk once and it was a combination of startup advice and standup comedy rolled into one. He should have a Netflix show - willing to bet it would be awesome!
