People think of remote work as a way to work for tech cos without having to live in SF. But maybe it's the way the tech cos themselves can escape SF.

what do you think about prominent executives in SF saying, under current conditions, they wouldnt have started in the city. Do you think SF-based startups still have an advantage? the same one they did before? do you advise folks to start here?
I think they're taking for granted the connections they now have that they made in the city.

so when you say sf is a lot more than silicon valley, you mean the surrounding region (oakland, sj, etc). and this region is something that folks can take advantage of as they work from home, but only if they also live in the region? (like stripe moving to south bay)
