People think of remote work as a way to work for tech cos without having to live in SF. But maybe it's the way the tech cos themselves can escape SF.

very interested in your thoughts here: industrial clusters matter for a lot of reasons. People share info in bars, parties, weddings. ideas come from late night tinkering. tech success comes from a regional culture. Do you think thats now less important in a telecummute world?

what do you think about prominent executives in SF saying, under current conditions, they wouldnt have started in the city. Do you think SF-based startups still have an advantage? the same one they did before? do you advise folks to start here?

I think they're taking for granted the connections they now have that they made in the city.
