You have to start seeing hate as a compliment. I recently did a project that was polarizing, most people didn't like it, BUT the people who SHOULD liked it, did. It made realize if people are indifferent about you, you have a bigger problem.
The hating wasn't so visible when you were growing up. Unfortunately Twitter surfaces it all.

It’s also not so much about hating you. Most people don’t actually know you. You’re likely the personification of some idea or some stereotype or some emotion (like envy).
