A few years ago now, I ordered a book, looked forward to it, recieved it, and in the preface or beginning the author said that 'tuple' rhymes with 'couple'. I put the book down. Still look at the spine sometimes.

I'm old. Known you for decades but you don't know me. Author was too young to remember all this stuff when it was being created but must have been corrected on this before. "He's a good boy, he just don't listen." Anything after that I would reject, so best not to read.

Oh, I get it now. Sorry. Spent much of my youth in England too. No wonder shops don't hire old programmers.
