Incidentally, a big part of the reason we have PPE in hospitals is that donors are compensating for the market distortions introduced by US price regulations. They pay market price to Chinese manufacturers, and then give the masks for free to US hospitals.

I was never quite comfortable with villianizing the guy who was in the NYT for stocking up on sanitizers a few weeks ago. It seemed like the kind of thinking that happens in 70s socialist economies. If the problem is a lack of supply, well, let's find a way to get more supply.

Exactly! Ironically it may have been restrictions on price increases that allowed him to hoard at a lower price, which would make lawmakers and attorneys the real villains here
