11 yo likes measuring how high he can jump, so I made a Lego jumpmeter. When he wants to try for a new record, we make it one bump shorter.pic.twitter.com/LagOQiHLdH

Measure his reach every morning, have him chart that along with vertical delta.

Legos are awesome (until they get stepped on). If he still has a case of the hops at Christmas you can get him a uni-tool.pic.twitter.com/ZCu0DT8QFU

If he wants to exercise to specifically train his vertical, the best natural body weight exercises are: • Sprints • Planks (Front, Left Side, Right Side) • Pistol squats • Leg lifts if vertical leap's his aim, he's bored and wants to kill time, wall sits are a fine choice

This would be so much cooler if it was automated with Lego boost. Each time it is touched (as detected with optical sensor) a motor raises it up a bit more.

And cut his dad out of the loop? There are many reasons why a simpler solution can be a cooler solution...

I'm guessing it might not be structural! Can't be if it's got that much woodworm, and yet I'm sure PG wouldn't have a mock Tudor house🤔
